Did you guys hear that I’m doing the Spartan? Yep, that’s right – come February (along with my team Will Burpee for Beer – great name, eh?) I’ll be in a race where we’ll jump over fire, crawl under barbed wire, throw spears, scale walls and complete more obstacles you can’t even imagine. Am I intimidated? You bet. But I’m also excited, and training up for the big day.
Maybe it’s because I’ve only lived in the South (now, Southwest), but I’ve always preferred my coffee cold. Lately, the buzz in chilled coffee is all about cold brew. Whereas traditional iced coffee is brewed hot like normal and then iced down, cold brew is never exposed to heat.
Major retailers are starting to catch on to cold brew now, but I can honestly say I’ve been on the train for quite some time. I love that its taste is smoother than iced coffee and seems easier on the tummy (probably because of the reduction in acidity), but it actually packs a way more powerful caffeine punch. Somebody once said, “for a great bikini body, have a body – then put on a bikini.” Done!
We don’t always want to accept it, but there’s major truth in that. All bodies are beach bodies and bikini bodies! Still, this time of year many of us feel compelled to pursue the ever-popular six pack abs through torturous, extreme exercises and diets.
