There are some things in life that naturally end up higher on your priority list, like getting the car inspected or changing the batteries in the smoke alarm. Granted, those things typically have some urgency behind them, since you can’t very well drive a car with outdated tags, and the smoke alarm has a very shrill way of grabbing your attention when the batteries are low on juice.
But there are also plenty of things that ought to get the same level of urgency behind them. Getting an eye exam is one of those things.
It shouldn’t be an afterthought, but it is. Did you guys hear that I’m doing the Spartan? Yep, that’s right –Â come February (along with my team Will Burpee for Beer – great name, eh?) I’ll be in a race where we’ll jump over fire, crawl under barbed wire, throw spears, scale walls and complete more obstacles you can’t even imagine. Am I intimidated? You bet. But I’m also excited, and training up for the big day.
These days, when we think of women golfers, top professional athletes like Lydia Ko, Lexi Thompson, and Inbee Park come to mind. In our heads, we see these modern players donned up in todayâ€™s standard golf wearâ€”collared polo shirts, slacks, spiked golf shoes, plus a cap or a visor to keep the sun away from their eyes. Weâ€™d probably also imagine women golfers in capri pants, shorts, and skorts in warmer weather conditions.
