Gwen Stefani L'oReal Mistake Proof Marker

Eye Makeup Review: L’Oreal Voluminous Eyeliner Mistake-Proof Marker

Eye Makeup Review L'Oreal Voluminous Eyeliner Mistake-Proof Marker Gwen StefaniI use eyeliner nearly every day I put on makeup, and it’s also one of the products I get the most questions about because it’s hard to apply perfectly. Pencil liner smudges and moves, while liquid requires an experienced hand and can look overdone. So when I saw L’Oreal’s Mistake-Proof Marker eyeliner, I had to try it. Who could resist an allegedly easy solution to our multitude of lining problems? After all, the package claims the flow is “controlled and continuous so you can easily follow the contour of the eye without skipping – no need to dip in the bottle”, and that it won’t smudge.

Review Victorias Secret Very Sexy Face Illuminator Adriana Lima

Review: Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Face Illuminator

Review Victorias Secret Very Sexy Face Illuminator Adriana LimaI admit: I have a sick obsession with Victoria’s Secret. However, I rarely make it to the beauty side of the store. But when the Very Sexy line debuted, I was intrigued. It seemed more professional and high-end than Vicky’s previous sort of impulse-buy-with-your-panties makeup.

I tried the Very Sexy Face Illuminator in Glow, and I was impressed. It’s a light shimmer creme that’s about the texture of concealer. A perfect highlighter that complements best spread high on the cheekbones, it’s also excellent on the bridge and tip of your nose, apples of your cheeks, or the browbone. Hair Product Review Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-in Serum Argan Oil

Hair Product Review: Garnier Fructis Sleek n’ Shine Leave-In Serum

Hair Product Review Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-in Serum AdThis is one of those drugstore products I’m always recommending, so I figured I should officially review it. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In Serum is a great all-in-one product for a good price: it reduces frizz, adds shine, and gives hair a generally polished look. One of the reasons I love it is that it’s great on a multitude of hair types – curly, straight, wavy, Carrot Top… the list goes on.

Face Makeup Review: L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

Face Makeup Review Loreal True Match Foundation Milla JovovichAs Martha Stewart would say, any time you can find a great drugstore foundation, it’s a good thing. Likewise, one that matches your skin well is even better. L’Oreal True Match Liquid Makeup is great for an inexpensive foundation (though it won’t make you look like Milla Jovovich, no matter how many times you say “mul-tee-pass”). Use the shade matching swatches at the display (I wear Buff Beige) to find the shade best suited for you. It’s a heavier finish than I expected from a drugstore foundation, but not too matte so you’ll still have a little shine.

Beauty 101: How To Apply Fake Eyelashes

Beauty 101 How to Apply False Eyelashes barbara-palvin-long-lashesGot an upcoming wedding? A friend’s wedding? Anniversary, party, seminal night out on the town? Many of us ladies have problems trying to properly apply fake eyelashes for a big event. I am normally satisfied enough with my mascaras themselves and my ability to apply them, but for this a big event where I know photos will be snapped all day, some extra definition is in order. Even if you’re not doing anything special – what better time to glam it up than for no event at all, when you can relax and play with it?

Here’s how I go about applying falsies:

Step 1: Get someĀ great false lashes. Individual lashes are VERY hard to apply for beginners, so I use MAC 7 Lash ($11.00), which come in a strip. These are great for several reasons: they look natural because of the varying lengths and separation, and they are reusable unlike the drugstore ones, so they’re a bargain in the end. I also recommend MAC Duo Adhesive ($8.00) for your glue, as it dries clear and not gloopy like cheaper brands.
