There are some things in life that naturally end up higher on your priority list, like getting the car inspected or changing the batteries in the smoke alarm. Granted, those things typically have some urgency behind them, since you can’t very well drive a car with outdated tags, and the smoke alarm has a very shrill way of grabbing your attention when the batteries are low on juice.
But there are also plenty of things that ought to get the same level of urgency behind them. Getting an eye exam is one of those things.
You were a good shopper this year. You started early, got gifts for everyone from Uncle Al to your bestie’s wily toddler… but lo and behold, somehow we always manage to forget about the stockings. Oops.
Sometimes you just gotta get away. Sadly, vacations don’t come cheap, and there are many added costs to simply getting there and back again. Plus, it takes a certain skill to do it well – and even more to do it looking good!
Did you guys hear that I’m doing the Spartan? Yep, that’s right –Â come February (along with my team Will Burpee for Beer – great name, eh?) I’ll be in a race where we’ll jump over fire, crawl under barbed wire, throw spears, scale walls and complete more obstacles you can’t even imagine. Am I intimidated? You bet. But I’m also excited, and training up for the big day.
We spend much time bemoaning our hair woes, but often fail to remember that the root of the problem (oh-so pun intended) starts at the scalp. It’s not rocket science, kids – a healthy scalp means the rest of your hair will look healthy and happy too.
