5 Ways to Get Rid of Tired Eyes

Have you ever been told that you look tired?  People say this because they want to act concerned; however, it often can be hurtful and offensive.  After all, what if you are not tired?  If you got a full night of sleep, do you just look bad?  Sadly, many people have the tired eyes look regardless of how fatigued they really are.  The good news is there are 5 ways to combat this problem, and it doesn’t involve extra sleep!

1 – Use Skincare

One of the best solutions to get rid of tired eyes is skin care.  With a good skin system, your features will look younger and healthier.  In particular, an eye wrinkle treatment can combat problem areas around the eyes that cause you to age prematurely.  This is one of the reasons people seem to look tired.  In addition to treatment products, a good moisturizer can eliminate dryness around the eyes.  This will add luminosity to the eye area and prevent the tired look.

2 – Drink Water

Next, it is important to drink water if you want your eyes to look alert and ready to face the day.  Water will provide your skin with necessary moisture so that it is smooth and healthy.  This is particularly important around the eye area.  The skin is more delicate in this area.  Thus, without moisture, it can easily look worn out and fatigued.

3 – Apply an Eye Mask

Sometimes people look tired in their eyes because they suffer from puffiness around the eye area.  This problem can be difficult to get rid of.  It is often hereditary and many people get cosmetic surgery to fix it.  If you are not willing to go to such extreme measures, then you can apply an eye mask regularly to minimize the puffiness.  Although this is not a cure, it works extremely well.

4 – Change Your Makeup

Furthermore, if you are constantly looking tired, you might need to change the makeup you are wearing.  After all, it is not doing its job correctly.  If it were working, people would not be saying you looked tired.  Instead, they would tell you how great you look.  Some of the best products to invest in to minimize the tired eye look include the following:

  • Eye concealer
  • Highlighter
  • Blush
  • Lipstick
  • Mascara

5 – Avoid the Sun

Finally, make sure to avoid the sun.  People assume that a great tan will help them look refreshed and healthy.  While this may be true in the short-term, the sun takes its toll on your skin.  Overtime it can cause wrinkles and skin conditions.  These problems can make you to look more tired.  In addition, they will make you look older than you really are.  Therefore, it is better to avoid the sun whenever possible.  If you cannot avoid it, make sure to at least wear sunscreen.

The time is now to stop looking tired.  Instead, use these five suggestions to help you look better each day.  If you do, your eyes will light up the any room you enter.
