While I rarely if ever divert from the discussion of beauty here on Sassy Dove, the release of my first book is one of the few events that warrants such a diversion. Many of my readers are also my fellow bloggers, and they wonder how to create a successful, profitable blog themselves. I’m giving you a free opportunity to find out just that!
I wrote Go From Blog to Brand in 30 Days because I have been blogging profitably since 2007, and I’ve been asked one million estimated times how to make a blog successful and revenue-friendly without selling your soul. I went to college for merchandising and I learned that the most important concept in creating and marketing any product, blog or otherwise, is creating a recognizable brand. If you’re ready to turn your blog into a real-life, profit earning business, you’ve got to brand it first. Thus, Go From Blog to Brand in 30 Days was born. It’s an entertaining, easy-to-read instructional guide that will take you step by step through transforming your blog into an empire that will fuel your success for years to come.
In this book, you’ll learn how to:
- Build your very own professional media kit
- Think like the professional brand moguls at Apple, Target and Google do
- Make the right choices in the beginning that are crucial to building a profitable blog – or, edit the choices you’ve made and rebrand
- And much, much more
With included worksheets that help walk you through important blog branding decisions, this book is a must-have for anyone who’s serious about building their blog. Just listen to my fellow bloggers: Ashleigh from ObsessiveMommy.com called the book “fantastic!”, and Steph at From Conference Calls to Meatballs even wrote a full-fledged review of the book, some of which I’ve excerpted below:
When I first thought about blogging I scoured the internet for resources to get my questions answered. I read Ebooks, took online classes and researched internet gurus. What frustrated me the most were the books and sources that promised to give answers, but really only left me with more questions. I would then have to buy the next book, or next course to get the “meat” of the topic. What I loved about Go From Blog to Brand in 30 Days was that it specifically answered questions directly, and also in a way that was easy to understand. There were several action items that I executed on right away, wondering why I had not stumbled upon them earlier in all my online research.
Another great aspect of the book is the worksheets. They allow you to fill in your own information and work through some of the questions yourself, giving you a realistic idea of where you want to go with your blogging goals. The worksheets are a very valuable resource and a wise use of your time. I can see this now, as I am further along down the road. If you are already a blogger the work sheets are a great way to get refocused and ensure you are on the right track. I think I am going to save mine and pull them out again at my 2 year anniversary to gauge my progress.I strongly recommend reading this book before you start a blog as it will save you both time and money in the long run. Naming your blog, choosing your URL, deciding on branding concepts and establishing a marketing strategy. I wish I would have laid this all out before I got started.
I also recommend it to bloggers who have been at it a while but are struggling to make headway, this may help point out the reason. With this book you can do all that and more with purpose.
The word is out – if you’re committed to building your blog into a professional brand that will get you traffic and revenue, look no further.
