Mane and Tail Shampoo ReviewIf you’re among the beauty-concerned, you’ve probably heard claims of the miracle shampoo and conditioner Mane and Tail. Being in the beauty business, I have constant conversation on the topic, and time and time again people have said to me, “If you want your hair to grow fast, use Mane & Tail!” I jump for anything that involves speedy hair growth, so I tried it as soon as I could get my hands on it.

“Isn’t that for horses?” you may be asking yourself. The answer is yes, some people do use Mane & Tail for horses and that was its original use. However, that doesn’t mean it contains any magical, scary horse genes. You won’t start neighing if you use it, trust me – we share many product favorites with horses, including hairbrushes, carrots and sugar cubes.

I used Mane ‘n Tail for about two months and although it didn’t really make my hair grow great lengths, I did notice some other positive changes. For instance, immediately after my first use, my hair was softer than ever before. I couldn’t keep my hands off it! Another plus – the conditioner can be used as a rinse-out or leave-in. I use it as both, just to get a little extra softness.

Most girls with darker hair would like to achieve some extra shine, and a lot of experimentation with haircolor experiments can leave your locks lackluster and dull. After a week or two of devotedly using Mane & Tail, I’m happy to report that my hair was anything but dull! I couldn’t help but stare at myself every time I looked in the mirror (an attractively egotistical quality, I know). My hair looked fresh, soft and oh-so shiny. I started to believe, hey, maybe this stuff really does work miracles.

In the end, I was definitely satisfied with my results. The product did all the things it claimed to do on the label: more body, volume, shine, manageable, everything! As for the “miracle grow,” I guess I’d have to keep using it longer, but it could possibly be just a silly rumor.

All in all I give it a 10/10! Oh yeah!

You can get both the Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner on Amazon for only $16.99. That’s a deal, so pick it up! Your hair will whinny a “thank you” at you.

  1. I have light hair, and I’m always looking for added shininess. Surprised you had such a good experience with Mane and Tail and that it’s so cheap.
