I’m in love – with Sassy Dove. Consequently, I love anything with Sassy Dove’s name on it. (Is that as egocentric as it sounds? Oh, well. Sue me.)
Consequently, when BestofSigns.com offered me a kick-butt banner of Sassy Dove, my wheels started turning at the possibilities. Could it be an amazing background for my Youtube videos? How absolutely fabulous could I make it look?
I decided bigger is usually better and went for the most beastly large graphic I could find. Unfortunately, even though I have done professional graphic design, I’ve never designed anything to be 8′ by 4′. My $600 image editing software wouldn’t even let me work that large at print resolution.
Luckily, the folks at Best of Signs came to the rescue with their online design tool, which helped me design an image that fit perfectly with my business. It even had tons of appropriate art and images to choose from. In the end, this is what I came up with:
Whaddya think? Snazzy, right? Still, I was concerned how it would come out when it was eight feet wide.
I shouldn’t have worried at all, though. Within only a few days, a giant tube arrived at my door with the final product inside. Here’s what it looks like in real life:
Uhm, EPIC. I seriously could not be happier with it. (And how well does it match my little pink room? And do you love the original sasstress Marilyn Monroe on there?)
