Keira Knightley’s Glamourous Hair and Makeup

I don’t believe in girl crushes, but if I had one, it’d be on Keira Knightley. I mean seriously. She is like the spawn of a faery queen and the English patron saint of ennui.

The Atonement star (I know she’s been in a billion other things, but if I were Keira I’d like it best if people called me “the Atonement star” and not “Queen Amidala’s nameless handmaiden” or “the stick figure bestie in Bend It Like Beckham“) looked her usual aloof brand of gorgeous on the cover of Glamour. Celebrity Beauty Product Picks: Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl Beautiful Blonde Hair ColorShe may have caught widespread flak for her snub of Knocked Up and of the Grey’s Anatomy writers, but no one’s criticizing One For The Money starKatherine Heigl’s looks. (Only perhaps her use of “the ugly truth”. Get it? Like her 2009 film The Ugly Truth? Eh? Yeah, I laugh at my own jokes. Someone has to.)

Here’s what the starlet uses to stay so gorgeous (other than a frustratingly perfect genetic roll of the dice):

  • Chanel Glossimer lip gloss: “I swear I have about 1,400,” Katherine admits of the popular lipgloss choice.
  • Mrs. Heigl uses Arcona Tea Tree Maskon her face about once a week. “Now I rarely get a breakout.”
  • Stila Cheek Mousse, which she applies to her cheekbones and brow bone, gives the 27 Dresses actress her healthy glow.
  • Pointing to a beauty product classic, Miss Heigl’s go-to product is Smith’s Rosebud Salve. “I always have it with me.”

Face Makeup Review: Chanel Teint Innocence Foundation

Face Makeup Review Chanel Teint Innocence FoundationIt’s an amazing triumph when I, in all my persistent frugality, can cross a department-store makeup item off my wishlist. This weekend’s procurement was no exception. I’ve lusted after Chanel Teint Innocence for months after reading some “Go natural but still look hot!”-type rave in Allurethat mentioned it as the end-all, be-all in youthful foundation. Since then, I’ve yearned away with no real reason not to buy it other than how cheap I am. Perhaps I was trying to build excitement?

Well, it turns out there was no need. Teint Innocence amazed me from the top down. The box is luxe, shiny black with a gold band around the bottom; the jar inside’s top is matte black with Chanel’s signature intertwined Cs on top, and it has an ingenious way of locking securely onto the top of the bottle much like the gas cap on my Honda Civic. Even the opening is smart, advising moderation by allowing only a small amount of product to escape at once. Did I mention there’s Chanel foundation inside?
