Micromastia refers to a condition when a woman’s breasts are underdeveloped. Some girls feel like having a boy’s chest, and this usually results in low self-esteem or insecurity. There are plenty more psychological effects of having a flat chest in girls that many wouldn’t understand. That’s why breast implant surgery is the most performed surgery today according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. However, this surgery doesn’t have an easy recovery process. You need a good amount of time to heal to get your desired look.
Well, yet another lovely celeb has taken a step toward destroying any physical individuality in pursuit of some imaginary ideal. Iggy Azalea has openly admitted to getting a nose job, which we all knew she did anyway because now she looks like the result of one of those facewarping iPhone apps. Of course, we’re in the height of lauding her for her honesty, but let’s not pretend this isn’t still sad news.

So you know that weird phenomenon where you learn a new word or talk about something really random, and then it seems to follow you around?
(Actually, I’m pretending to sound like I don’t know what it’s called right now, but I do. There’s a name for it and that name is the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon. This habit is almost universal among intelligent women, and that vaguely relates to what we’ll be discussing today.) Continue reading Can You Work In The Beauty Industry and Still Be Pro-Women?
I spend a lot of time thinking about beauty, and I find the most seasoned ladies often still need to learn at least a few of the lessons below.
These might be better labeled as “beauty maxims” than “beauty rules”, but I thought that might confuse Google into sending me guys looking for the latest cheesecake shots from Tila Tequila.

Depending on where you’re from, the general opinion of Botox injections varies from absolute disgust to an absolute must. While often lumped in with plastic surgery, Botox injections and similar cosmetic fillers are considerably less dangerous and involve less downtime than going under the knife. And surprisingly, doctors administer more Botox to women ages 22-40 than to women over 60. And Botox usage increased 4783% from 1997 to 2006. So tell me, ladies: would you go under the needle? (Don’t worry – my polls are anonymous unless you choose not to be, so no one will know your skin-plumping secrets.)
