Makeup Review: Maybelline Dream Mousse Cream Blush

Makeup Review Maybelline Dream Mousse Cream Blush Milla JovovichIt’s tough to find a great blush, and tougher to find one that looks natural on you. Fortunately, I got lucky and found one that flatters the bejeezus out of me for seven dollars!

Maybelline Dream Mousse is a long-lasting creme blush that feels soft to apply and blends seamlessly into skin with a subtle glowy finish that’s nothing but natural. It’s a great pick for beginners who still have trouble blending powder – you’d be hard-pressed to mess up blending this product.

L’Oreal Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Haircolor Review

LOreal Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Haircolor ReviewI’ll tell you a secret: I color my hair at home. It’s a beauty no-no, I know – but to pay 6x less and come out with color that’s more like what I wanted to begin with, I’ll take it.

(In case you’re curious, when I don’t use henna, my new red-hair standard is Feria Mango. If you want an intense, bright, orange-red, this is for you.) The new standard in at-home color is to include a moisturizing conditioner to use after coloring, and Feria’s is thick, luscious and leaves my hair amazingly soft.

Face Makeup Review: L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

Face Makeup Review Loreal True Match Foundation Milla JovovichAs Martha Stewart would say, any time you can find a great drugstore foundation, it’s a good thing. Likewise, one that matches your skin well is even better. L’Oreal True Match Liquid Makeup is great for an inexpensive foundation (though it won’t make you look like Milla Jovovich, no matter how many times you say “mul-tee-pass”). Use the shade matching swatches at the display (I wear Buff Beige) to find the shade best suited for you. It’s a heavier finish than I expected from a drugstore foundation, but not too matte so you’ll still have a little shine.
