One of my all time favorite fragrances ever: Burberry Brit. It’s delectably deep and sensual, feminine, yet classy. I feel like I’m wearing a classic trench and oversized sunglasses as soon as I dab my wrists together.
Apparently, I’m not alone. Here are some famous celebrities who love Burberry Brit as much as I do and wear the scent themselves: Continue reading Celebrities Who Wear Burberry Brit
Ever wondered what fragrance a Bond Girl would wear? Apparently, it’s Kenzo Amour Le Parfum. Bond bombshell Olga Kurylenko is the face of the new fragrance, a woody oriental scent.
Here’s the fragrance by note breakdown:
Top notes: rice, frangipani
Heart notes: amber, patchouli
Base notes: vanilla, benzoin
The bottle is a gorgeous magenta inspired by the geisha girls of southeast Asia, and the scent is much more spicy and less innocent than Kenzo’s other fragrances like FlowerbyKENZO and Kenzo Ryoko. Check out the commercial below!

I adore contemporary design. There’s an intriguing quality in the brazen simplicity of it that’s almost ironic. I imagine fragrance giant KENZO was seeking just that when they enlisted designer Karim Rashid to release a limited edition collection of Kenzo’s top fragrances called Ryoko. The result is both fabulous and functional!
The word “ryoko” means “travel” in Japanese, and they’ve designed the collection around this concept with the airport friendly fragrance pebbles all coming in under 3oz. The bean-shaped colorful orbs are suspended in a clear plastic casing. My favorite part? I don’t have to commit myself to a new fragrance to get one; I already know I love FlowerByKENZO.

It’s time for another lovely Fragrance Friday! Today we’re going luxury. Described as “fresh and sexy,” Armani Code Pour Femme is a fabulous fragrance. And what girl doesn’t love a little Armani?
- Top notes: Blood orange, ginger, pear sorbet, jasmine
- Middle notes: Orange blossom, Seringa flower, lavender
- Base notes: Precious wood complex, vanilla
I smelled this perfume on my best friend and instantly fell in love (with the scent, not her…sickos). The fragrance is a spicy, seductive mix of lush citrus and earthy notes, both bold and mischievous at once. Give it a try if you’re a fearless chick!
Giorgio Armani Code Pour Femme sells at Amazon.com for $72.50 in the 2.5oz size.
It’s often difficult to describe the type of scent you’re looking for, and the bored salesgirl working the perfume counter is rarely much help. Here’s a little education on the different types of fragrances and the high points of each. Most ladies never learn this stuff, so you’ll do well to read it!
