Occasionally, a product comes along that not only innovates with something truly new, but also makes me feel genuinely outwitted – and by something found in the Personal Care aisle, no less. This was most definitely the case with the Venus Swirl, whose swivel-tilting razor head allows it to traverse the nooks and crannies of my cratered cellulite like no shaver before.

As I used the product for the first time (along with the Violet Swirl shave lotion – delightful-smelling and appropriate since I also wear violet-scented perfume these days), I actually saw my shaving technique shift  entirely before my eyes, and understood the true extent of how I didn’t yet “get” this razor’s potential.  I felt like a pre-evolutionary ape in 2001: A Space Odyssey, futilely banging a screwdriver against a rock prior to some monolithic revelation.

Luckily, the proverbial monolith seemed to gradually emerge the more I practiced, and soon I was walking upright and with super smooth bipedal appendages, no less.
