Hairstyle How-To: Do a 5-Second “Poof”

For those days when you don’t have time to wash your hair or spend hours styling, try a “Poof!” Also known as the hair bump, this style is quick, easy and super cute. Hair poofs aren’t just for the Jersey Shore anymore – they can be extremely chic and make you look dressed up in no time. Celebs like Hilary Duff, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Dianna Agron have been spotted sporting the bump du jour!

Just follow these five simple steps to get your locks bumpalicious:

1. Grab a section of hair from your hairline. If you have bangs, that’s the part you’ll use.
2. Twist the hair about an inch back from the hairline.
3. Holding the part of hair that you twisted, push forward to create the “bump”.
4. Using two bobby pins, pin the hair from both sides on the twisted hair so that it supports the poof’s volume.
5. Add hair spray.
