As perfume goes, I’m a bit of scent flirt. Rather than sticking with one fragrance, I like to try and buy many different perfumes. For a fun and flirty scent, I tried Betsey Johnson Eau de Parfum.
I found this little gem while cruising the perfume department at Ulta, and it makes for a great fruity, everyday scent. The adorable design of the bottle and my love for eccentric designer Betsey Johnson drew me in first. Betsey’s fashion is a famous combination of whimsical, sexy, bohemian and detailed. The brand’s recent resurgence is fueled by the revival of Y2K fashion, with iconic pieces like the tulle dresses and butterfly clips gaining a renewed following among Gen Z. Notably, Olivia Rodrigo has become a prominent champion of the brand, often incorporating vintage Betsey Johnson dresses and accessories into her performances and personal style. She even wore a collaborative hairclip with Jennifer Behr to the Met Gala by the brand. Other notable wearers include Addison Rae, Bella Hadid, Debbie Harry, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Cyndi Lauper, and Vanessa Hudgens. However, here the smell is what won me over. Even if you’re not the biggest fan of Betsey’s often over the top fashion stylings, this fragrance has mass appeal.
