For a drugstore product, I was very impressed with this concealer’s coverage. This baby blotted out my dark undereye circles with the greatest of ease!

texture: 3/5
While it was thick and matte, the finish wasn’t amazing and was almost grainy-looking. Still, I thought it made my skin look more natural than most concealers do, and it blended easily (at least to my skin in color Fair: Light 0-1).

Makeup Review: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Cream Foundation

Makeup Review Maybelline instant-age-rewind-eraser foundation model-shot Christy TurlingtonI first tried Maybelline’s Age Rewind foundation just after I’d turned 22 and was not remotely in need of age-defying makeup. Five years later (yes readers, do the math), even after they added the eraser and the swirl and all that jazz, I’m still in love with the Nude Light #4 as something with nice coverage at the drugstore. I’ve tried far too many filmy Covergirl foundations in the past, so I rarely pick up base at the drugstore, but this one is amazing!

This foundation’s coverage is full and it feels creamy and rich, but blends out neatly without feeling too thick. The bottle is ingenious – its pump tip is by far the best solution to the gloppy foundation rims and overspill of product onto our counters we’ve all experienced. The color is perfect for my skin and blends out every flaw, which is surprising considering I didn’t try it on before I bought it.
