I’m a liquid eyeliner addict, so I’ve pretty much tried everything. This is one that can always be found in my makeup drawer, but I won’t say it’s the best. Maybelline Ultra-Liner is a liquid eyeliner that has one amazing feature – it is pretty insanely waterproof. I mean really. Jump in the pool, take a shower, it’s not going anywhere.

Ultra Liner has a thick brush tip that’s a little hard to manage if you’re new to liquid liner, but easy and quick to slide on once you know what you’re doing. It’s hard to get a thin, sleek line with it, so I’d only use it on my upper lid (unless you’re going for a gothy look or want insanely smoky eyes for a night on the town).

The finish is like a plastic shell of liner, which is great for being waterproof and doesn’t smudge at all, but bad for a couple of reasons: since the normal method of lining your eyes is to pull your lid straight, it can crinkle and crack at the sides; also, the finish is kind of shiny and can kill the ultra-black effect, especially in photos.
