Styling The Perfectly unDone Beach Waves

Wanna hear some of the best news so far in 2015? I am, as of this very moment, enjoying my first actual Spring Break in a very, very long time. Of course, I’ve matured beyond the Cancun days of my youth (although let’s be real, on my budget it was Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula south of Houston). This year, my Spring Break is being spent  in Disney World. Of course, since I’m in sunny Florida, I do get to jockey for some real beach days, and that’s just one of the reasons why I love undone beach waves.

We’ve talked about beachy waves before, but I’ve never gotten to style them using the new TRESemme Perfectly (un)Done line before.  I particularly loved the Sea Salt Spray, which allowed me to create beachy waves without a curling iron (ideal, since I’m a thousand miles away from any styling tool aside from a hotel-room hairdryer).

With the spray, I simply followed the directions on the back and twisted sections of my mostly-dry hair backward, then dried. The result? Beautiful, beach-ready waves.

Of course, there’s more to styling undone beach waves than just how to create a hairstyle; what you pair with it is equally important.  A simple tank top (right) will do, and it’ll look downright cool paired with white sunglasses… perfectly undone waves can even make otherwise un-chic tan lines look cute.

However, my all-time favorite way to style the Beach Wave is with a maxi dress. Me-ow.

(I like these looks because they show that beachy waves don’t have to be blonde. However, the next few will show you why blonde has such lasting beachy charm.)

It doesn’t really get any more classic than beachy waves with a bikini. Ombre color will only add to the lovely effect here.

However, I think a new favorite will be the bonfire-friendly cozy beach sweater:

What are your favorite items to pair with beachy hair? How do you style this unstyled look?
