Remember rushing home to flip on the Disney Channel? The fleet of young stars were almost universally destined for greater things – and to become the next generation’s huge hotties (just look at how Ross Lynch has grown 👀).
As you know, here at Sassy Dove we’re all about the redheads, so here are some of our favorite redheaded stars and starlets of Disney and Nickelodeon fame and where they’ve spent their grownup time (plus, their best look yet [imo]).
Bella Thorne
Perhaps the most infamous in her claims to post-Disney fame on this list, Bella’s rise to grownup stardom has been a controversial one. Her days in Shake it Up with Zendaya and Blended with Adam Sandler were soon overshadowed by a highly active SnapChat account and ultimately, an OnlyFans debut. Since she has also directed an, ermmm… grownup film, we can say her Disney days are well over.
Despite Bella’s public antics and constant speculation about her sobriety, surgeries and more (which she seems to revel in), the girl’s got style – even if it isn’t yours, you’ve gotta respect it. Check our fave Bella fashion moment: devouring French braids, Versace heels and an olive green minidress on the set of Extra with Mario Lopez to promote the #LoveYourNature campaign.

Debby Ryan
You may have met Debby in her Disney sitcom Jessie where she portrayed a sassy Texan babysitter looking after a group of rich siblings (or maybe it was The Suite Life On Deck!), but her recent fame has been all about the memes. Who hasn’t seen Debby’s cringey smirk or DJ intro from Radio Rebel?
Debby has had so many phenomenal fashion moments, but for us she’s best in this YANINA Spring 2018 couture she wore to the AMAs:

Calum Worthy
Speakling of everyone’s favorite endearingly-weird sidekick Dez from Austin and Ally hasn’t fallen off the map – in fact, he was on Hulu’s smash based-on-a-true-nightmare The Act as Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s unhinged love interest and accomplice Nick Godejohn, and will start in the new comedy series Reboot with Keegan-Michael Key and Judy Greer.
While Calum isn’t featured on as many runways as most of this list, we love that he’s a risk taker who channels Dez in his fashion moments, including this daring suit from the Emmys:

Ariana Grande
While she’s not a redhead now, Ari made her debut in our hearts and minds as the ruby-locked Kat in Victorious and later, Sam & Kat. Obviously, her career has exploded as it was quickly revealed that Ariana possesses one of the greatest voices of her generation. Combined with a keen sense of what pop wants, there was never any stopping this babe.
There’s no shortage of current-era Ari out there, so let’s feature our girl pre-Sweetener – she wore this adorbs strapless nude-pink ensemble to the Nick 2011 Kids Choice Awards, major throwback!

What stars are you remembering from the days of Gen Y yore? Should we do blondes next? A Degrassi: TNG throwback perhaps for Sir Drake? Let us know in the comments below!
