Ways On How To Get A Tan Safely

Summer means that you will have plenty of sunshine now. When you think of sunshine, one of the best things to experience is sunbathing. Yes, many people enjoy getting their tan on. Nothing beats that natural tan on your skin. But before you lay out on the beach towel in your backyard, and stay for long hours, there are some things that you should take note:

Avoid Sunbeds

Indoor bathing is not considered as legit sunbathing unlike, lovemelanotan. You will get the wrong kind of UV from the indoor sunbeds. These tanning beds will only pump out huge amounts of UVA and no UVB. To stimulate Vitamin B, you will need to acquire UVB rays.

Unfortunately, UVA rays will penetrate deep down into your dermis. This is the skin’s thickest layer. Through time, this can lead to premature skin aging, suppression of the immune system, and wrinkling. Furthermore, experts provide that the tanning beds will increase your chance of getting skin cancer by 75%.

Exfoliate your Skin

Before heading out to the beach, it is also best to exfoliate your skin first. Exfoliating will remove the dead skin cells from the outermost layer of the skin. This will enable fresh skin to appear. The process of removing the dead skin cells will even out your skin tone. It will remove the oil and dirt that is clogging your pores. This can also prevent acne.

The lesser the buildup of the dead skin cells, the shallower it will be on the layer of the skin. With this, it will make your natural tan last longer. As you remove the dead skin cells, it will also allow you to tan more easily. This is true as the tan appears and fades evenly.

To exfoliate, you can make your homemade scrub using salt, sugar, and oatmeal. Make use of this mixture with an exfoliating glove or a loofah pad.

Understand your Tanning Time

Your skin will reach a tanning cut-off point when it cannot produce more melanin. Melanin is the tanning pigment so it is pointless to be on the pool all day. Everyone has his or her melanin cut-off. Typically, it is two to three hours or much less if your skin is fair. After this period, you are just subjecting your skin to further UV damage.

Maintain These Rules

To safely maintain a tan from lovemelanotan, make sure that it is the same as obtaining one. Wear an SPF shield to protect the skin from different types of UV rays. You can opt for SPF 30 to coast your current levels. The goal is not to continue getting darker throughout the summer. This is not a safe way to handle this process. Remember, too much pigment will look unnatural to you.

Apply the Right Amount of Sunscreen

Experts recommend applying an ounce of sunblock across the legs, face, neck, and arms. Then add half an ounce for the torso. Next, apply quarter-sized amounts for the back and head. Finally, make sure that everything will get the same generous coverage.

Real talk: everyone looks better with a tan. @sunnygirlspraytanphx #Phoenix

If we’re being  honest, literally everyone looks better with a tan. Of course, there are boundaries where tasteful tan ends and Oompa Loompa begins. How to find the sweet spot without getting sun spots?

The answer lies in spray – but the right spray. Not all spray tans are created equal. Popular machine sprays can’t see your body, resulting in splotchy bits and odd coloration. And sometimes the pigment isn’t as natural looking, so unless you’re going for Carrot Top, it might not look too chic. Beautisol Self-Tanning Mousse #SelfTanner Review

beautisol-tanning-mousse-with-tanWant a lovely glow without the carcinogens? Unfortunately, this often means exposing your bod to an expensive spray tanning company and ending up in Oompa Loompa territory. What’s a girl to do? Simple – tan in the privacy of your own home!

“But Cailin, won’t self tanners make me splotchy and orange?” Some, dear readers, but not all. While self tanners are famous for uneven application, abhorrent smells and unnatural hues, I’ve found one that solves all those problems: Beautisol Self-Tanning Mousse.

This self-tanner sets itself apart in a few ways. First and most unique is the self tanning mitt it comes with for application. Basically you slap this baby on like an oven mitt and slather yourself from bottom to top with the tinted tanner. The tint makes seeing where you’ve gone easy, and you can use the glove to blend your own lines.

The scent of this product is actually quite pleasant – think vanilla-citrus – and the resulting color is all bronze and no orange. Fantan-stic!

As with any self tanner, you’ll want to wait 6-8 hours after applying to shower, so the best time to apply is a bit before bed. I also recommend moisturizing your hands and feet to avoid too-deep shades in those areas that over-absorb tanner.

Getting Bronzed in AZ With ChromaTan

ChromaTan Tan ChickLet’s face it, ladies: we all look better with a bit of a glow, but the trials of maintaining a healthy tan are fraught with skin cancer risks, nasty scents and orangey streaks. I’ve had my share of run-ins with self-tanner, and even tried Mystic Tan in a spray tanning booth, but one thing I hadn’t done? Custom airbrush tanning. Jenny at ChromaTan right here in lovely Phoenix, Arizona introduced me to the wide world of airbrush tans and how superior they can be to other tanning options.

ChromaTan specializes in products from Aviva Labs, which are high-quality airbrush tanning products. Jenny told me one advantage is they do not contain oil, which acts as a repellent and would make the spray tanning less effective. She even came out to my home to tan me for my convenience – how awesome is that?

Jenny noticed that I was vampirically pale (the winter has gotten to me), so she opted for a shade from Aviva called Winter Glow, meant to naturally warm up us pale chicks without getting that unseasonable Real Housewives look. To answer the question on everyone’s lips, yes, you do have to strip down, but Jenny made me feel totally comfortable. Plus, I was surprised at how affordable airbrush tanning can be – pricewise, it’s comparable to Mystic and the value is better since you’re custom-tanned by someone who can see where you need touchups, etc.
