Who says you need an expensive moisturizer, leave-in conditioner, cuticle softener, makeup remover, etc.? You can get the benefits of all of these products with just a few types of oils.
Here are three oils you should always have at your disposal for beauty purposes:
- Vitamin E oil: As far as oils for skin go, Vitamin E is likely the best. An antioxidant, it helps to fight free radical production (and thus, wrinkles). A formulation like this one comes with rosehip and is perfect for reducing scarring as well as hydrating the skin. Vitamin E oil is gentle enough to be used on the face and is well absorbed, and also functions as a perfect makeup remover and cuticle oil.
- Coconut oil: Coconut oil is uniquely well suited to penetrate, protect and hydrate skin and hair. Split ends will benefit greatly from this oil. It’s also antibacterial, making it one of the cleanest choices (since with moisture, there’s always a risk of forming bacteria). When buying, choose a fractionated formula so the product stays liquid at room temperature – otherwise, you’ll end up with hard bits in your hair! Ew!
- Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is essential (no pun intended) for soft, gorgeous hair — particularly recommended if you have curly locks. This jojoba from Eden’s Semilla has a great scent, making it a joy to use. Jojoba mimics the natural sebum in our hair, which rarely makes it all the way down to our thirsty ends.
ALL of these oils are suitable for body use too!
