BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium Flat Iron Review

For around twenty years before I owned my first flat iron, I had always resorted to using a curling iron to straighten my hair. This was never the most effective and efficient manner, but invariably yielded good results once you used it repeatedly. One day while getting ready for some outing with my friend, she finally showed me her flat iron. This was my first encounter with the same, and it looked just marvelous. She tried it on my hair, which eventually turned out to be a life-changing experience for me.

Ok, at the outset it may sound as if I am exaggerating. Although it may not have transformed my life entirely, it made handling my hair a much easier and simpler task. I’d always wished to have straight hair, but I never intended to shell out the heavy amount on relaxers which were being manufactured at that time. Another facet worth mentioning is that once in a while, I liked to flaunt my natural curls.

The most ironic thing is that now, I also curl my hair by utilizing none other than my straightener. I can undertake multiple tasks with the help of my straightening iron which otherwise won’t be possible with a flat iron.

The trick of the trade lies in an iron that not only works well but also has the requisite shape for curling. I could just resort to buying a curling iron, but I am fascinated by the form of curls derived with the straightening iron. I was always on a lookout for an iron which would enable me to get tighter curls. This invariably meant that I required a smaller one (since the size of the curls is directly proportional to that of the iron).

Sleek Body Can Assist Tighter Curls

This is a very small straightening iron. The size of the plates could be around 1″, but look much thinner than that. This iron is very sleek around the outer sides also. A lot of ceramic options are available in the market but the body of this iron, on both side of the plates, is much slimmer than they are. The compressed mass could propose some beautiful curls, so I was interested in trying it out.

It’s not ceramic, but titanium

This iron has titanium in it instead of ceramic; this is what makes it different from other irons. Some flat irons’ plates that claim they have ceramic are in reality only metal layered with ceramic, but these plates are pure titanium with no coating.

I’ve used irons made of metal in the past and haven’t observed a massive difference between metal and ceramic, but can assure you that I have seen much more scorched hair with irons made of metal than from those made of ceramic. Nevertheless, that could be because the kind of iron that I used wasn’t titanium.

For More Coverage, there are Longer Plates

Long plates of about five inches are the best thing about this product. This is longer than the customary kinds and helps iron more hair at a time, means more coverage than other flat irons and less time to get done straightening your whole head of hair.

There are various sizes available in this product range, from 1 to 1.5 inch. I regularly curl with 1-inch for I feel you get better curls with it, but that also depends on how long your hair is and the kind of style you are going for. If I had longer hair, I possibly would have used 1.5 inches.

The Control Center of Nano Titanium

Within no time, Nano Titanium briskly heats up to 450 degrees, sufficient to straighten almost all types of hair. There aren’t many irons which get hotter than this, but still this aspect should be paid attention to especially if your hair is heat sensitive. More heat than this may prove hazardous to anyone’s hair.

Its Ionic and Not Ironic

Negative ions, as well as the Far-infrared heat technology, hold more moisture content while the titanium plates assist the same by locking moisture into the hair. Most flatirons nowadays incorporate this so it can’t be considered a revolutionary idea, but it makes a substantial difference especially when you want to straighten your hair and have it last.

Some people believe that negative ions result in hair being a little static-y. Static could lead to a frizzy look, which might be annoying if you wanted to have a smooth and flat look. This might not be the iron for you if you do not want your hair to have more body.

You need to turn it off, or it will remain switched on

I like irons that have automatic shut-off. Electrically powered timers are a modest mechanism to the best of my knowledge, so I could not understand why they could not add that technology into this iron. Oddly, many of the higher end irons and best-selling ones do not have this feature, so there must be a good reason. In any event, remember to shut it off!

Final Thoughts

I’m so used to irons that are ceramic, but titanium appears to be used in all the greatest professional straighteners, and it ensures ultra-fast heating system and ultra-high temperatures.

Furthermore, the shape of the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium permits for exceptional straightening of hair and great styling possibilities, making this a superior flat iron choice for just anybody.

If you think this iron has the benefits you need at the right price, scurry over and buy this fantastic product on Amazon.
