10 Skincare & Makeup Tips for Oily Skin

We all know how uncomfortable it can be to have an oily face. Especially when you just can’t stop sweating, or you’re wearing makeup, this becomes an annoyance. Acne Scar Removal via Surgery: The Basics

A scar appears when your skin patches itself from a wound triggered by an infection, surgery, accident or inflammation. Scars may vary in shape and size and typically twitch out as reddish in color and dense and fades over time, or turn sunken, lumpy or flat. From time to time your scar may get hypertrophic (bigger) or develop into a keloid (a predominantly big overgrown scar) and you may need to get it removed. Numerous scar removal procedures are obtainable and this post takes a comprehensive look at laser scar removal therapy. Continue reading Acne Scar Removal via Surgery: The Basics

Proactiv 3-Step System Review

This post was sponsored by Proactiv as part of a Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

You guys may recall my beginning use of the Proactiv skincare program a few weeks ago — now I’m here to check in with some results!

I gotta say, I’m loving my results so far, particularly in the improvement in my skin texture. One issue with being a 30 (ech) year old with zits is that even though my skin problem is one common among young people, that doesn’t necessarily mean my skin looks young in all the positive ways.

Now, my skin texture is not only zit-free, but smoother and more even-looking. Just check out my “Before” picture, taken before starting Proactiv: Continue reading Proactiv 3-Step System Review

Jillian Wright Breakout Blocker Clarifying Serum Review

Pimples. Remember them? Those awful new friends who started invading your face right around the time boys became cute? Some of us didn’t get to leave their torture behind with our impossible-to-remember locker combinations, and are still battling the little buggers daily.

I admit I probably get more pimples than I should, being almost 30. I’m reaching the dreaded simultaneous-wrinkles-and-pimples point of my life wherein everything about my face is either too young or too old. Goldilocks, look out!

Jillian Wright Skincare Breakout Blocker Acne Serum ReviewI’ve used a lot of serums before, but up to this point I’d never heard of one for treating breakouts. Therefore, Jillian Wright’s Breakout Blocker was of particular interest to me.

Products pumped full of medication can be drying and too harsh for my skin, especially out in the desert. Luckily, this serum is non-irritating, non-drying, and actually reduces redness rather than turning me into a strawberry like the rough stuff. And as I found out from Jillian Wright, when you have less redness, there is less trauma to the skin, hence minimizes premature aging. Clearasil Ultra Acne Solution System Review

Clearasil Acne Solution SystemDespite my being in my late twenties, I still have issues with acne. Hooray! Scanning the shelves for Emergency Four-Alarm Magic Acne Eliminator, I decided to try Clearasil Ultra Acne Solution System. The pack comes with a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and a free sample of their quick-start treatment cream. I began using it daily, at morning and night, and instantly fell in love.

The cleanser is a little grainy – I am guessing to act as an exfoliant – but it is gentle enough for daily use. It leaves your skin feeling clean, fresh and looking good. It works really well at removing all makeup including eye makeup, which some cleansers have a hard time doing. It is to be used every morning and every night.
